But while the familial ties between Red and Liz may be what this series has been circling around for four seasons, it wasn't what this finale focused on until its very final moments. That's what's weird about a two-parter like this. By the time you get to the end, you've traveled so far, you almost can't remember how you got there in the first place. One day you were a nanny for a nice lady and her spy-baby, and the next thing you know, you've spent three decades shoveling blood and guts in the name of creating an immoral criminal empire only to be shot in the head by the only person who shares your unique life's mission, and now you must destroy him. We've all been there, right?
Her first step: take down the Post Office task force, the one thing protecting Red from being prosecuted for his many, many crimes. Unfortunately, our beloved task force is also being protected by Red in many ways. Because as we soon find out, via Special Agent Julian Gale (Enrique Murciano) getting misty-eyed over a pile of criminal bones for what must be the 100th time, he has managed to instigate the assembling of a federal grand jury to hear testimony on whether the task force enabled Raymond Reddington to continue to commit crimes while working as an FBI informant. Poor Aram (Amir Arison) is subpoenaed and granted immunity, which takes away his right to plead the Fifth Amendment; he must either testify against his friends on the task force, or he'll be going to jail.
How familial DNA trapped a murderer for the first time
Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont have just timewalked to Elizabethan London and the Old Lodge. Their first encounter is with Christopher Marlowe, an old friend of Matthew's. Diana is thrilled to meet the famous member of the School of Night but can see that Kit is in love with Matthew. Kit is ecstatic to see his friend and is cruel and dismissive to Diana, thinking she is a prostitute. When Matthew introduces Diana as his wife, Marlowe is confused and extremely jealous. Diana encounters the entire School of Night, and others, such as Gallowglass, Hancock, Jack Blackfriars, Annie Undercroft, and Goody Alsop. Diana learns that she is a weaver, and learns about her growing powers. She becomes pregnant but miscarries. Mathew's subsequent withdrawal makes Diana feel alone. They travel to Prague in search of Ashmole 782, more commonly known as The Book of Life. The Holy Roman Emperor hits on her, and lets her see the Book of life, but they don't have enough time to study it before Edward Kelley, a daemon, tears out the 3 pages that were missing in the present. Matthew and Diana make up, and their relationship is stronger than ever. Diana becomes pregnant again, and they travel back to their present.
Diana announces that she is going to the Bishop house in Madison, New York, to try to find information Emily or Diana's mother may have earlier discovered, possibly about The Book of Life. Diana starts using her magical weaver skills to create new spells while at the Bishop house. She enjoys a feeling of belonging to the witch community for the first time.
As the events in the first book progressed, Diana's powers grew at an increasing rate and Miriam and Marcus discovered that Diana's potential is practically limitless, as she possesses genetic markers for numerous witch powers. As time went on, it has been discovered that Diana is not simply a witch, but a weaver, meaning that she is capable of making new spells and that the powers she has exhibited were simply instances of her borrowing them when the need arose.
One of the later states to be developed, New York State DNA Databank was codified in 1996 by Executive Law Art. 49-B and became operational in August 1996. It is an SDIS within CODIS. Although its first match linking a perpetrator with DNA crime scene sample was in February of 2000, DNA fingerprinting had been found admissible evidence in New York criminal law cases from 1988.[FN31]Initially, DNA samples were only collected from convicted homicide and some sex-related crimes. Over the years the law has been amended to exponentially expand the type of crimes considered DNA eligible but has consistently not applied to children in Family Court matters, youthful offenders and more recently, first-time offenders convicted of marijuana possession pursuant to Penal Law 221.10 (1).[FN32]NYS has eight local DNA laboratories (LDIS) that are compliant with quality assurance and accreditation requirements of CODIS.[FN33] Each LDIS maintains a Forensic Index, which is comprised of those DNA profiles from recovered crime scene evidence. Although the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Center is a LDIS, it also serves as SDIS laboratory for New York State to directly communicate with CODIS. Also, it maintains New York State's Convicted Offender Index (9 NYCRR 6192.1 [z] and 9 NYCRR 6192.1 [aa]). Routinely, the Forensic Index from all 8 LDIS containing crime scene DNA, is compared and matched to NYS SDIS Offender Index, containing convicted felons' DNA profiles or DNA exemplars.
Defendant argues that People fail to satisfy the second prong of Abe A.. Defendant contends there is no clear indication that relevant material evidence would be found as a result of the OCME buccal saliva swab testing that People seek herein; "the mere presence of epithelial cells on the complainant's pants, is not probative evidence of the charges that are alleged" as the defendant concedes that he was present in the restaurant the evening of the alleged crime (Defendant's Cross-Motion at Paragraph 9). However, the informant victim, with specificity, states that defendant was the male person who pulled down her pants, stood behind her while restraining her and touched her vagina while she was screaming for defendant to stop and trying to swat his arm away from her, without her consent. Clearly, not only does victim's statement satisfy the first prong of Abe A. for probable cause, it also satisfies the 2nd prong. Defendant's DNA profile will provide probative evidence if there is or isn't a match with the male DNA sample on victim's pants and underwear. The weight of the probative evidentiary value of the match or non-match is within the province of the fact-finder as jury or judge at trial. Defendant argues that since he concedes his presence at the restaurant on the date and time of alleged assault therefore obviates the need for his DNA sampling because as a matter of course there may have been casual brushing off epithelial cells unto the victim's pants. However, a DNA match to the male sample found by OCME on victim's pants and underwear to defendant would provide clear indication that relevant material evidence would be found to establish close physical contact as opposed to mere casual happenstance contact. The charges herein of Forcible Touching and Sexual Abuse in the First Degree require the elements of "contact" and of "touch" (see Penal Law 130.65 [1], 130.52 [1]). Therefore, defendant's buccal saliva swab will reveal defendant's inclusion or exclusion as the male contributor of the DNA samples obtained from victim's pants and underwear. Consequently, defendant's argument is unpersuasive and there is clear indication that relevant material evidence would be found as a result of search and seizure of defendant's buccal saliva swab.
The murder trial and the investigation made both scientific and legal history. It was the first time a person who had committed a murder was identified and convicted through a familial search (using close relatives) of the National DNA Database and the first miscarriage of justice to be resolved by the conviction of the real murderer. The case also led to the introduction of routine recording of police interviews.
Having lived in modern society, Leon does not pay too much care to qualities like honor or chivalry. If it is what must be done, he pulls no punch in the way of deceptions and underhanded tricks against his adversaries, taking inspiration from Luxion's quote when he first fought against the AI. "Being called a coward is the highest praise on the battlefield"[11]. This is evident when he walks into the sacred duel seemingly bare-handed while having already laid the groundwork for both Pierre's public humiliation and the strategic air raid against Feivel House's territory. Occasionally, Leon utilizes misinformation to manipulate the surrounding mood toward a direction he desires (He had no problem pinning the Feivel air raid on Pierre and has multiple time shift achievement credits to other people).
Leon would also feel a sense of extreme guilt in the aftermath of the Fanoss invasion, as he watched the wreckage of hundreds of airships and armors floating around the water; he blamed himself for bearing such an important role in the "final event of the first game", causing so many casualties for being an incompetent "mob".[15] This is a few time Leon's imposter syndrome merge with his disdain for loss of human lives, showing his out of touch and an utter inability to accept the new reality.
Reaching the island Leon changed into a yukata which he borrowed from there and was lying in wait for the charms seller to buy all the charms he had. But the charms seller did not want to sell all the charms to Leon and started having an argument which led to Olivia and Angelica going over their hearing of the noises. When they asked what was going on the seller told them that Leon wanted every charm he had too Leon told that he was willing to buy everything at an exorbitant price but the charms seller said that he wasn't willing as many people were looking forward to this in the festival and he won't let Leon steal their enjoyment. When Angelica asked what were the things he was selling he told them that they were good luck charms with divine blessings crafted by his grandmother. Leon still didn't give up offering more for them until Angelica had to restrain him so that the charms seller could go to the festival to sell the charms. Leon after seeing the seller going away became gloomy and hung his head down. Angelica then if he really wanted them with Leon replying that he was looking forward to this day and that he couldn't sleep last night. Olivia tried to reprimand Leon telling him that he shouldn't have tried to buy all of them with money. The seller then came back telling Leon that he had two charms left with him so Leon could have them. Leon was overjoyed to have them but the charms he got were a white blessing of elements and a red blessing of elements which he wasn't after so he gave the white one to Olivia and the red to Angelica. At that moment Angelica's followers came so seeing them Angelica ran away. Three of the boys who were followers of Angelica surrounded Leon telling him not to get too ahead of himself because of his promotion and that he was nothing more than a poor noble who had received Angelica's favor. In response, Leon taunted them and the three of them were going to start a fight with Leon when Olivia asked them not to fight. They went away as Olivia was standing between them. After they went away Olivia began apologizing for what she had said to Leon previously and for causing trouble during the fight with the air pirates. Leon replied that Olivia had nothing to apologize for and was going to say something more when he saw an old woman coming toward them. When he asked who was she, she replied that she had heard about Leon from her grandson and came to chat with him. Leon realizing that she was the charms seller's grandmother apologized for all the trouble he had caused. She then gave him a charm telling him that this was the first time someone wanted her charms so much and even though the charm she was giving was a leftover she told Leon to accept it. Leon opened the charm and asked if it was The War Fortune Charm but it looks different. She replied that he was quite knowledgeable and told Leon that it was a specially made one. Leon wanted to pay for the charm he got but the old woman told him that it was needed and asked him to visit their shrine which was famous for knot-tying. After hearing this Leon headed back telling that he will be going there tomorrow morning as he had to pray for marriage leaving Olivia alone there. 2ff7e9595c
